The Bride Academy

Very excited to announce that I’ve been asked to join the Bride Academy – www.thebrideacademy.co.uk – as one of their official experts. The Bride Academy is a brand new website designed to provide a resource for brides who are planning their wedding – not just a directory list of suppliers, but all of us resident experts (hark at me, this expert status might have made me a little giddy!) commit to providing brides with information that they can actually use rather than just promoting ourselves to you. There’s lots going on there – it is pretty fledgling at the moment but having seen who’s on board with it, I’m confident that it will be a really great resource for all brides to be!

Indian Wedding Photography

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to be part of the wedding day of Tasmia & Musadeeq. Although I have photographed at Indian weddings in the past, I was very aware that this was something out of the ordinary for me but that is what I love most about this job – there’s always an opportunity to try new things and learn more. Everyone in both families was fantastic in letting me know what was going and how the day would run and I had a really fabulous time. I guess it would be a cliche to talk about the riot of colour that there was on display so I’ll leave that be and just concentrate on how fabulous the bride and groom looked together. I wish them all the very best for the future and I’d like to give them a special thanks for including me in their day.

Bridal Diapers?

I love weddings and so reading about the latest trends is always interesting to me but I am not sure what to say about this one. Yes seriously, some brides who have particularly large or cumbersome dresses are opting for Bridal Diapers for the big day, often buying on the recommendation of the dress shop. Yep, I couldn’t believe it at first but after some fairly eyebrow raising research, it turns out to be true. I guess it is a practical solution to a problem in a way and having seen some pictures, they don’t look as horrendous as you would think but La Perla they ain’t! Still, one to think over if you are planning your wedding…

Brand New Shiny Website!

The new website is finally finished (although if you’re reading this, you’re already on it!). Still worth a little glass of champagne here even if it is only in pictorial form. Now I can go back to my day job of taking photographs rather than muddling through all the technical bits and pieces! I have lots of exciting things planned for the news section, including featuring some very special guest writers who are going to offer tips and hints on planning all different aspects of your wedding.
